A stretch of the road between Aylesbury and Waddesdon will be shut for HS2 work.

The closure is set to be in place from 8:30pm to 5:30am from Friday into Saturday, and Saturday to Sunday. The signposted diversion, using roads suitable for all vehicles, will take motorists to Bicester via Buckingham (you can see the map below), although access to properties will be maintained.
HS2 say the closure will allow workers to cut a trench on Blackgrove Road for Bt cabling, and every effort will be made to complete the work within the two overnight closures. However, they have planned contingency dates the following weekend if the works can’t be completed due to circumstances outside of their control, such as adverse weather.
