A loud bang was heard in Aylesbury this lunchtime (9/9/24), with reports on social media of houses shaking. Police have confirmed it was due to a small explosion.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson told Bucks Radio: “We received a report of a fire along Wendover Road, near the gyratory, Aylesbury at around 12.05pm this afternoon (9/9).
“A gas canister caught fire which caused an explosion.
“Road closures were put in place, but the road has now reopened. Fortunately, no one was injured.”
