Keir Starmer is the new Prime Minister as Labour recorded a landslide election win, and Bucks has mirrored the national picture.
Having been a Tory stronghold since the 1920's, the town now has a Labour MP. Laura Kyrke-Smith received 15,081 votes, with outgoing Conservative MP, Rob Butler, recording 14,451. The result was confirmed after a "bundle re-count". Former Aylesbury Mayor, Steve Lambert (Liberal Democrats) was third (10,440).
The new MP for Aylesbury gave us her reaction to winning the seat:
Mid Buckinghamshire has bucked the trend with Conservative Greg Smith, previously MP for Buckingham, taking the new boundary seat. He told Bucks Radio he's ready for the new challenge;
Tory Steve Baker has lost his seat in Wycombe, with Emma Reynolds the town's first first Labour MP since 1951.
Labour's Callum Anderson took Buckingham and Bletchley, with fellow party members Emily Darlington (MK Central) and Chris Curtis (MK North) forming a red wall in Milton Keynes.
Labour have also taken Hemel Hempstead from the Conservatives, with David Taylor replacing Sir Mike Penning.
Liberal Democrat Victoria Collins won the new seat of Harpenden and Berkhamstead.
Joy Morrissey has retained Beaconsfield for the Conservatives, with the Lib Dems second, Labour third and Reform in fourth place. The Tory MP says she is delighted to continue to represent the community;
Liberal Democrat Sarah Green has also held her Chesham and Amersham seat;
