Bucks firefighters have been called to numerous incidents involving internal flooding across the county over the weekend (Friday 16 to Sunday 18 December 2022).
Incidents were attended in:
- High Wycombe
- Aylesbury
- Waddesdon
- Bletchley
- Stoke Hammond
- Princes Risborough
- Winslow
- Marlow
- Buckingham
These types of incidents can be common during longer periods of cold temperatures, such as those experienced last week.
As well as helping us to plan and prepare for extreme weather and temperature fluctuations by providing weather forecasts, Bucks Fire and rescue are recommending the Met Office WeatherReady campaign.
Weather Ready is a year-round campaign to help individuals, families and communities prepare for and cope with severe weather.
Run in partnership with Cabinet Office and supported by local partners, the campaign provides tips and guidance on simple actions people can take to reduce the impact of severe weather on their lives.
Anyone visiting the Met Office website for the latest weather forecast can also access up-to-date, expert seasonal advice from carefully selected organisations, to help them prepare for and respond to the weather, to stay safe and protect their homes and businesses.
