Due to the Omicron variant of COVID-19 the Trust has made some changes to its visiting restrictions to help prevent the spread of infection.
One of the biggest changes will be that only one visitor is permitted per day for one hour and visitors are required to provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test taken on the day of the visit, ahead of their visit.
Full information can br found here https://www.buckshealthcare.nhs.uk/blog/2022/01/11/changes-to-visiting-restrictions/
The Trust has re-introduced the ‘Letters to a loved One’ email scheme too.
The service is particularly useful for patients who may not be able to stay in touch with loved ones using technology. The inbox is monitored from Monday-Friday and staff will endeavour to deliver the messages as soon as possible.
Friends and relatives who would like to send an email to an inpatient can write to bht.lettertoalovedone@nhs.net.
The email must include your loved one’s full name, their date of birth, their postcode and their NHS number if you have it.
