Expect some disruption along the A41 Bicester road from tomorrow (Tuesday 15th June).
Construction work will be starting between the Rabans Lane junction and the Paradise Orchard junction, to hopefully improve journey times along the A41 Bicester Road corridor.
This work is in preparation for the major works which are programmed to commence at the end of July/beginning of August.
The advance works – which are expected to take around 5 weeks to complete – will take place on the following roads:
- A41 Bicester Road
- Jackson Road
- Dickens Way
In order to reduce disruption as much as possible, working hours will be 9am-4pm on A41 Bicester Road and 9am-5pm on Jackson Road and Dickens Way.
The majority of the work will not impact the carriageway as it can be completed on the footways and verges, with pedestrian diversions where required.
All residents will be able to gain access to their properties as usual during the works, but delays may be encountered at peak times.
Temporary traffic signals will only be in operation between 9:30am - 3:30pm to minimise disruption to the network.
There will be 2-way lights in operation along Bicester Road and 3-way lights on Jackson Road and Rabans Lane. The lights on Jackson Road will be manually controlled so that Jackson Road remains green in both direction and only changes to red when a vehicle wants to exit the Tesco side road.
There will also be no weekend working.
