Thames Valley Police have confirmed two boys were arrested after an attempted robbery that left the victim requiring hospital treatment.
A Thames Valley Police Statement:
"Thames Valley Police received a report of an assault with injury at around 5.15pm yesterday (8/3) in Ailward Road, Aylesbury.
"Two offenders tried to steal a bike from the victim. When trying to stop the offenders, the victim was assaulted.
"The victim sustained cuts to his legs and hand caused by a blade. He required hospital treatment but has since been discharged.
“Officers, including armed officers, attended and a 14 and 16-year-old boy, both from Aylesbury, were each arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery. They remain in custody at this time.
"Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact 101 or make a report online quoting investigation reference number 43250114690."
At approximately 6pm today (8/3), four Armed Response Vehicles converged on West Street, Bicester Road, close to the Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital. Witnesses say three young men were detained at gunpoint, but this has not been confirmed. It's since been reported a police helicopter seen in the area was searching for a missing boy.
Thames Valley Police have yet to release an official statement and the incident is ongoing (18:45)
