Mp for Buckingham Greg Smith has come out in support of the Roundwood Primary School and Tingewick Pre-School after an incident of arson on 26th September.
He has said this:
"The senseless arson attack on Roundwood Primary School and Tingewick Pre-School at the weekend leaves us all speechless at how anyone could commit such a crime. Children have suffered enough through the Covid pandemic, with disruption to their education and lives - especially younger children in such important formative years.
"I have spoken to the Headteacher, Mrs Handley, to offer my help and support and will be making enquiries with the Department for Education on a number of items we discussed. And equally will do whatever I can as the local MP to help with anything needed from government or the local council.
"First and foremost, I want to thank Mrs Handley and her whole team for an incredible effort - in the most devastating of circumstances - for getting to a position where children can return to school tomorrow.
Likewise, I know how disruptive this will have been to the children and families affected - and wish them all well for a return to school.
"There is also a crowdfunder run by parents to raise funds for the school to return to normal as quickly as possible - and I know they will be incredibly grateful for any donations if you are able."
