The southbound A40 has been closed following a incident between a lorry and a pedestrian, between the junction with the Handy Cross Roundabout the A4155 near Little Marlow.
Traffic was at a standstill from 7.30am this morning, with people getting out of theirs stationary cars and walking around the carriage way.
A number of emergency services were at the scene, and drivers were being asked to avoid the area.
The road is said to be now back open.
