Two Aylesbury residents have been invited to Aylesbury Fire Station and presented with a ‘Team Letter of Commendation’ certificate from The Society for the Protection of Life.
In the early hours of Monday the 2nd of August 2021, a fire broke out in a family home in Aylesbury. All 6 members of the family became trapped by the fire and smoke. Luckily the quick-thinking actions of the neighbours prevented further injury.
Before fire crews arrived Jason, an Aylesbury resident, was able to catch two children from a first-floor window. He also brought a ladder from his property to help one of the parents escape from the home. Carol, another neighbour, also caught one of the children from a first–floor window.
For their courageous actions The Chief Fire Officer, Jason Thelwell, invited Jason & Carol to Aylesbury Fire Station and presented them with a ‘Team Letter of Commendation’ certificate from The Society for the Protection of Life.
