Meet Batel, the two year old German Shepherd with a prosthetic front leg, who will soon be calling Wendover his home.
He's had a difficult start in life. Batel has already had surgery to correct 2 dislocated back hips and has just had more to surgically repair a traumatic amputation of one front leg and toes and pad from his other front leg.
But you can't keep a good dog down!
Animal charity, Miracle's Mission, have fitted him with a prosthetic leg so that soon he can hopefully run around without fear of hurting or straining his joints.
Once he's recovered, Batel will be joining Claire Childs to enjoy life in Wendover.
Claire now wants to raise awareness of the good work of Miracle's Mission, by helping to raise funds for the charity to give other dogs like Batel another chance in life.
