Yesterday (Monday 14th June) marked the start of the big build at Florence Nightingale Hospice!
They are constructing a 10 foot rainbow sculpture in the grounds of Stoke Mandeville Hospital, as a tribute to the community spirit throughout the COVID-19 crisis.
Lee Lloyd, Head of Fundraising at the hospice explains exactly who the Nightingale Rainbow is celebrating.
"As we all know the last year has been full of dark times, yet it's also been full of bright spots which has brought out the very best of Bucks.
The front line NHS workers who battled through the pandemic, the care home workers who looked after you relatives when you couldn't see them, or the local communities getting together to support those who are shelling or self isolating."
Bucks Radio will be keeping track of the build and how local people can contribute!
